The Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) survey provides a powerful way for students to tell us about what’s working well, and what not so well, in classrooms, labs, and campus life.
Initiated by the Center for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE) and the University of Minnesota’s Office of Institutional Research, SERU is a comprehensive, longitudinal study designed to help answer questions about the potential relationship between education experiences, program characteristics, and development outcomes of undergraduate students at leading research universities across the globe. Based on the data collected, comparative benchmarks can be used to help institutions understand student experiences, and to provide context to influence meaningful change and improvements.
