How long is a Leave?

The duration of a Leave is dependent on the specific needs and circumstances of the individual student. The University typically indicates an end date for a Leave that coincides with the end of an academic term, usually one or two terms following the start of the Leave (Fall Term, Winter Term, Summer Term are each one term). The Vice-Provost, Students conducts a review at the end of that period. The letter that the student receives from the Vice-Provost, Students will indicate the duration of the Leave, the timing for when the student can request return to studies, and when the University will provide a review and update to the student about whether the Leave will be extended or ended.
